About

Built by a board member, for the districts next to mine.

The board's job is to help administrators be the best leaders they can be. The data ought to make that easier — not more political.

Why this exists

I serve on a local school board. One of the first things I noticed was how hard it is to get honest information. Generic survey tools give you numbers — but those numbers pass through layers of administration before reaching the board. By the time trustees see results, they've been summarized, contextualized, and occasionally softened.

That's the problem ScholarVoice was built to solve. Anonymous credentials mean respondents can't be identified even by the people running the survey. Results are aggregated before they're ever recorded, so there's no raw data to selectively release. The same numbers go to administrators and board trustees at the same time, with no editorial layer between collection and delivery.

The millage tools came out of a separate gap. Districts running bond campaigns were stitching together PDF mailers, spreadsheets, and third-party survey tools — none of which talk to each other, and none of which are designed for the specific compliance obligations of a public education campaign. ScholarVoice's millage suite is one campaign, one price, four tools that work together from day one.

Both products are built and run by one person who actually uses them. Decisions get made fast. Bug reports get answered the same day. And every feature has to pass a simple test: would a part-time district clerk use this on a Tuesday afternoon, between parent calls, and feel helped by it? If the answer's no, it doesn't ship.
