These terms govern your use of the ScholarVoice platform. By creating an account or using ScholarVoice, you agree to these terms.
By accessing or using ScholarVoice at scholarvoice.app, creating an account, or taking a survey through our platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy.
If you are using ScholarVoice on behalf of a school, district, or other organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these terms.
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of ScholarVoice after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. Material changes will be communicated to active account holders by email.
Organizer accounts are intended for adults 18 and older, including school administrators, teachers, board members, district staff, and other education professionals.
Survey respondents may include students of any age, subject to the school or district's applicable policies on student participation. ScholarVoice's anonymity architecture means no personally identifiable information is collected from respondents, including minors.
You may not use ScholarVoice if you are located in a country subject to a U.S. government embargo or have been prohibited from using U.S. software services.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at hello@scholarvoice.app if you suspect unauthorized access.
ScholarVoice offers the following subscription tiers:
Prices are in U.S. dollars. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date. You may cancel at any time from your account settings.
ScholarVoice is designed exclusively for legitimate K–12 educational survey and community engagement purposes. You agree not to use ScholarVoice to:
As a survey organizer, you are responsible for:
ScholarVoice provides the technical infrastructure for anonymous surveys. The ethical and legal responsibility for survey use, respondent treatment, and compliance with educational privacy laws rests with the organizer and their institution.
ScholarVoice guarantees the following to every survey respondent:
These protections are enforced at the technical architecture level, not merely by policy. No software update, account upgrade, or special request can disable them.
ScholarVoice uses Anthropic's Claude AI to generate board reports from aggregated survey data. You acknowledge that:
You retain ownership of the survey data you collect. AI-generated reports derived from your data may be used, modified, and distributed by you for your institution's purposes.
ScholarVoice platform: The ScholarVoice software, design, branding, and documentation are owned by True Anchor LLC. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the platform without written permission.
Your content: You retain ownership of survey questions you write, results you collect, and reports you generate. By using ScholarVoice, you grant True Anchor LLC a limited license to store and process your content solely to provide the service.
Feedback: If you provide suggestions or feedback about ScholarVoice, we may use that feedback to improve the platform without compensation or attribution.
Payments are processed securely through Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges to your payment method at the applicable rate.
Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you retain access until then.
Refunds: We offer refunds within 7 days of initial purchase if the platform has not functioned as described. Refunds are not available for partial subscription periods or after surveys have been published and accessed. Millage campaign fees are non-refundable once the campaign document has been published.

ScholarVoice is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, True Anchor LLC's total liability to you for any claims arising from your use of ScholarVoice shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
True Anchor LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, revenue, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use ScholarVoice.
ScholarVoice is a tool for conducting anonymous surveys. We are not responsible for decisions made by institutions or individuals based on survey results or AI-generated reports, nor for the consequences of any survey conducted through our platform.
You may close your account at any time by contacting hello@scholarvoice.app. Upon closure, your surveys and results will be deleted within 30 days.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms of Service, without prior notice for serious violations. We will provide reasonable notice for less serious violations and an opportunity to remedy them where practical.
Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability — will continue to apply after termination.
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of ScholarVoice shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Michigan.
If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
